The Art Room

New shade to block out the sun, so a guest could actually sleep in this room and no be awakened by the bright sun. I used Gesso'd canvas and painted it with Liquitex Soft Body Acrylic Paint. All free-hand, no pencil first, but had a nice sharpie in hand to pave my way.
Here is how it looks in the room with the sofa bed and other furnishings. After I hung it up, I had one of those ah-ha moments.

The Art Room is coming right along - here what you see when you enter the room with the cool bookcase and the red comfort sleeper. A crocheted afghan is on the top portion of the sofa, originally made for my parents for a wedding gift over 60 years ago. It's like new and is a perfect addition to this room.
Here is the right side of the room and the other bookcase that frames the sofa.  It is bittersweet to realize that all of my art supplies have now been moved off the premises, but wonderful to know that our kids will have a place to sleep when they come to visit!
