"Welcome Home" The House Quilt Project

The House Quilt Project - I worked with Furnishing Hope and interior designers for each of the 18 houses that Habitat for Humanity is building in San Juan Capistrano, California.  I enlisted the help of 13 quilt artists to create a house quilts based on the interior vision of each interior designer, knowing what their favorite colors and styles were.  Each house quilt measures 12" wide by 16" high and are ready to hang on the wall.  The group colors and numbers below are part of the coding system for Furnishing Hope.

  5. Jamie, what a great project! They have been building a bunch of Habitat
Homes that I pass by nearly every day. It warms my heart to see them going up and thinking of the people who will have their own homes because of that wonderful program. Now I can just imagine how having a little piece of Welcome art would mean so much.
