The Artists Village in Houston

The Artists Village, coordinated by Kathy York for the International Quilt Festival's special exhibit Tactile Architecture, which was just in Houston, will travel onto Cincinnati in the Spring and Long Beach in the Summer of 2012.  I hope that you will have the opportunity to see it in person.

The artists are:   Susan Else, Frances Holliday Alford, Pamela Allen, Frieda Anderson, Lisa Call, Jane Davila, Naomi Adams, Barb Forrister, Vickie Hallmark, Connie Hudson, Leslie Tucker Jenison, Sherri McCauley, Judy Coates Perez, Melanie Testa, Laura Wasilowski, Kathy York and me.
Looking into the village you can see distinct styles of houses

This is my house and it zips down flat, except for the roof that has to be un-buttoned from the structure

Leslie's house is on the left with the red circles, Vickie Hallmark's to the right

Kathy York, Sherri McCauley, me and Leslie

The village from the back - Kathy's house is the one with the squares on it.  Fabulous project and it was great to see it in person at the show.

  2. I am crazy for this project, because the house never gets old for me. Wish I could see it!
