Kauai Inspiration in My Sketchbook

We are vacationing in Kauai this week and it has been quite relaxing to just vegg, drink really good Kona coffee, read books, swim, walk, sleep, eat really good fish and be together.  We're celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, by spending time in the same place that we honeymooned.
I've enjoyed drawing in my Moleskin Storybook style sketchbook.  This month's theme for the Sketchbook Challenge is 'a cabinet of curiosities.'  This is my version, inside by sketchbook cabinet.
The foliage is so beautiful here, that I think a later post will be all about the flowers of Kauai
a peek inside my imagination
The beach and ocean, steps away from our condo
when I visit Hawaii, I think of the beauty of mother-of-pearl buttons
a view from our deck
our adventures of things we are doing while we are here.
a beautiful sunset at the end of a stormy day.  people line their beach chairs out on the lawn every night to watch the sunset.
