Open Studios in Houston

Open Studios was at the end of Main Street in the food court this year.  It was sponsored by Craftsy. Four large open rooms where artists could demonstrate what they do.  Each room served a purpose - Quilt, Stitch, Embellish, Paint.  Pokey Bolton did a great job in putting this together!

My view from the Quilt room onto the show floor

Free motion quilting in 2 hours.  Talked to many people about my 'Rebel Quilting' process and happily sewed!

There was a design wall to the left for me to hang my work on, as well as, a laundry line for small works

Sewing, as people came and went.  Sometimes a crowd of people, and then transition.  I felt like there should have been a timer set for 10 minutes for each session.

another view, and with the windows, you can see into the other rooms

Sally Murray of Quilting Arts was nice enough to take these pictures of me in the paint room!

Painting, stenciling, and stamping with foam stamps.

Look at this huge group of people watching and listening to the artist
