The CHA Show in Anaheim, CA

The CHA Show in Anaheim "Craft and Hobby Association" open to the trade only.  It encompasses, scrapbooking, paper, fine art, sewing, publications, buttons and beads.  This is the Random House booth, where Sue Bleiweiss' book "The Sketchbook Challenge" was on the shelf.

and on this shelf!

These were fun and bright - a polyester netting

The continuing theme that I saw at the show was vintage.

I loved this vintage typewriter.  Look, only 3 rows of keys!

High Heels made by Michele Muska of Simplicity for the Kick Off Your Heels Fundraiser!

New product in the Elmer's Glue book - 'Painters' that work on 10+ surfaces, including these high heels!

Saw some friends at the show - Liz Kettle and Ruth Chandler of Textile Evolution!  Great fun!

My friend, Michele Muska came by to visit me in my studio before the CHA Show began.  She works for the Simplicity Creative Group.  I use many of their trims, and the Simplicity Felting Machine!

I had the pleasure of meeting Drew Emborsky, the Crochet Dude also!  I have never learned to crochet, but I am thinking that I would like to give it a try.
Pam Carriker and Mary Beth Shaw were in town for the CHA show, so we all went for a studio tour and out to dinner on Thursday night.  This was our 'art date' for The Sketchbook Challenge.  In hindsight, we should have taken a long arm picture of all three of us on the couch!

In times of resting to elevate my feet, I took out my sketchbook to draw, which was very relaxing.

  1. What a fun show and I love those giant flowers, really fun. Our library got Sue's new book in, so I have it waiting for me, need to go pick it up.
