Work in Progress

I have this large-ish art quilt that I have entered into shows and it met with rejection, because I think it didn't photograph well.  There are parts of it that are very bright, and some are not because of the sheer flax fabric with the stencil holes.

So, here goes.  Let's cut it up into 3" squares and see what happens.
The stacks of squares
I placed the squares on a variety of colors of wool blended felt, but thought that the Fushsia color was the best one!
I felt it was too boring, just to leave the squares so neatly placed, so I put the center one off kilter with black felt underneath it.  Escape from the nine patch.  So far, so good.  I am in the process of free motion zig zagging them altogether!
