Works in Progress

Zen Stitching.  I have about a dozen of these different squares of wool felt and embroidery. Maybe I should make a quilt with them?

This is a fun little practice quilt with fabrics from RJR and the Flaurie and Finch line.  I used the Sizzix machine to cut out the triangles.  I think it's pretty fun!

Same line, different pattern

I've been doing alot of gardening around my house, adding more succulents.  I have one garden dedicated to the butterflies with Milkweed growing and re-seeding itself.

Take time for friends with a good cup of coffee

My biggest work in progress is our kitchen redo.  These are the tile colors for the backsplash.  I am still working on how to get what I want, without it breaking the bank.

This one thing helped me so much.  Using solids (I know it's funny that I would have solids, but they are for an upcoming quilt project)  I cut them into 2" hexagons on my Sizzix machine.  These could be potential colors for our backsplash...

Then I made a design, took it home and taped it to the backsplash wall, so I could look at it for awhile.
Then i go back to the tile store and see things like this.  So beautiful.  It doesn't come in my color palette, but it would be gorgeous in our pool.  Stay tuned for more fun in my kitchen, and if I ever get back to my studio.  Yearning to sew something!
