Making Gifts from Quilts

2 small square quilts that I made earlier this year for another project
Reduced quilts on my color copier to create images for the front and back of a pocket 2-year calendar.  You can buy these calendars at Michael's, Joann's and Target for $1.00 each.  They have a plastic cover that protects the paper cover.  Pull out the calendar.  Cut to fit the front and the back and attach copies with a glue stick.  I added a small strip to say what year the calendar is for, then put it back inside the plastic cover.

Using the flower quilt, I reduced it even smaller to create these decoupaged Fiesta ornaments and tied with a ribbon. I had bought the Fiesta ornaments in San Antonio, TX.

  5. I love what you did with the milagros-very cool! I put some old poetry pages in the center of a couple of my hearts and used some metal leaf on the edges. I think these look more vibrant. The calendar idea is great!
    Big fun!
