Bird Girl Change-Up

Bird Girl  13" wide by 22" high
This is Bird Girl in her former self, which was made for Quilting Arts Surface Explorations, premiere issue eBook.  Stenciled swirls in background, on bird, on cup and on her face.

I added hand stitching to green bird

A close up of the free motion machine quilting and painted stenciling

She just needed new hair, got a flower on her face and more stitching on her face

Added some hand stitching on the swirl

And she, of course, runs with scissors, so she needed a pair on her shirt.  I also added the detail scalloped collar to add more balance to the piece

I think that the new hair, and the additional changes to her made this a more interesting and funky piece.

  1. That is a dramatic redo, really gives it a more fun and whimsical look and love how the stitching adds depth.
