In the Studio: Design, Fuse, Cut

The design/cutting, desk table configuration wasn't working.  The fusing table consists of a piece of plywood that is 3 feet wide by 5 feet long, covered in wool felt.

2 tables side by side on bed risers.  My messy desk seemed to be overtaking the cutting table.  In my previous studio, the cutting board was next to the fusing area.  I missed this design.  It is easier to cut, and move it over to fuse, right next to each other.

So, I made a new configuration, with the tables in an "L" shape

Small cutting mat, next to fusing area on the same table.

Underneath storage, which will eventually be covered by table skirts

The other table, with a large cutting mat, which is next to the fusing table, and room for my desk area.

So, now it's like having an extra long design table

And then there is the big pile of fused fabrics.  Maybe I need something that comes out of the ceiling with bins, for on-going projects?   A girl can dream.
