Setting up the Booth at Quilt Market

Hoffman California Fabrics gave me a portion of their booth to show off pieces made with my fabric line "Home is Where Your Story Begins."  I hung household screen from the top portion of the booth, to secure art quilts to for easy viewing

My friend, partner in crime, teaching partner and co-curator, Leslie Tucker Jenison, helped me in setting up the display!  It's good to have such amazing friends!

Prayer flags hanging on the laundry line above
Quilts were pinned into place, shelf unit was added and decoupaged dress form.  It is almost done, and I am so pleased with the results

16x16 square quilts made by friends using my fabric line!  They all were a great addition to my booth!  Kathy York, Frances Holliday Alford, Leslie Tucker Jenison, Victoria Findlay Wolfe, Terry Waldron, Mary Lou Weidman and Sue Bleiweiss.  More about the quilts on another post.
My design inspiration board, made with chalkboard fabric, notes of designs from my sketchbook and shipping tags with fabric swatches.

Let the fun begin.  Attendees made Coffee Coasters with pre-Mistyfused circles onto wool blended felt, just the way that I make my quilts!  It was so fun!
My props, just like I have in my studio

Making my presentation to the Hoffman Reps - complete with show and tell. I was great fun talking about my style of making quilts, social media and answering questions.
A look inside one of Hoffman Fabrics sales books!  So exciting! Dreams come true!

  2. Hi! Your booth set up is great, I enjoyed your fb posts during Houston. Social media is great, I feel like we are "old" friends even though we've never met. Thanks for the continued inspiration!

  3. Just wow. The work and planning you did to create this booth paid off big time. Amazing and creative and original display! Gotta say I especially love the design/chalk board. Well done , Jamie! Hope you take some time to relax and to pat yourself on the back for all the work you've done to make the events in Houston happen. Wow!
