My little Molar Eclipse 26x26 was accepted into SAQA: A Sense of Humor. I had difficulty trying to determine if things I thought were funny, were really funny to someone else? A landscape of molars with root canals and crowns...the result of trying to find something positive out of a negative experience at the dentist. Oh goody for me...zippers have teeth too!
I find this very funny! I look forward to seeing it in Chicago in 2010! congratulations!
ReplyDeleteIt's very cool, Jamie! Looked like fat carrots when I first saw it!
ReplyDeleteHumor plus beauty... love it! Too bad I can relate to the topic.
ReplyDeleteClever Jamie.
ReplyDeleteAnd so Jamie with the zippers!

well duh, I was trying to figure the zippers out, but didn't catch the pun. Should have too because I've used zippers to be teeth on one of my aliens.
ReplyDeleteI love this totally whimsical piece! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteJamie: this is WONDERFUL! As an artist who really thinks through titles and works hard at relevant titles that make the viewer think--well, you've certainly hit the mark with Molar Eclipse. The work is full of stuff to think about and, even more fun, to laugh about. Bravo!

Jamie,
ReplyDeleteLove the play on words and the visuals. I can identify with the 'sense of humor' issue. I recently entered something off base and will see if it pays off.
Yours did-Congratulations!!
Robin
SWEET!
ReplyDelete(or maybe that's what caused all the trouble in the first place.)
