Changes in the Studio

This area is known as 'storage' and is always a complete mess - more known as the dumping zone.  My former studio had a separate room for this, so I am in a learning curve to find out what works best for me in an open space.

I decided that the things that will go on the  back shelves, are supplies that I don't use very often, and to put daily and weekly supplies on the other shelf unit, so I can grab and go.

Getting a little better, and a great place to hang my work aprons, to hide all of the junk behind them!  LOL

this is the paint / office area, which is in great need of reorganizing.  Cleaned off the wire shelf, and will move it into the main room

Shelf unit moved to sewing area

Moving shelving, opened this part up, so I can walk on either side of the shelf units

Smooth sailing ahead.  Still tweaking, moving things around to get  my studio in working order!  A work in progress, for sure!

  1. I'm always moving mine around! When I first moved in, I had everything neat and tidy and put away one way, but then as I worked in the space and dumped my fabrics and tweaked, I moved everything around again to be more functional. It's an organic thing!

    1. Good to know. I didn't do this in my former studio, because it was too small. But love the freedom of being able to move furniture to where it works better.

  2. If your work is evolving, then your studio must also be a work in progress!
