Dinner at Eight Artists - Part 2

The second quilt "8" - I decided to do multiples of 8 of things

8 Popsicles - with measuring tape sticks

8 cups and saucers, using my 'Cup of Joe' stencil from Stencil Girl Products

This is what I have so far, including 8 house.  The blues and the greens give a nice balance to the piece

Birds cut using an AccuQuilt GO machine, that has 3 different birds on it, but I only wanted to use 2.  The fabrics were all pre-fused.  I am not happy with the yellow fabric, because I think it's too plain.  I texted Leslie to get her opinion.  I also noted that I need more yellow fabric in my stash.

8 abstract blocks.  Spoonflower fabric made from one of my doodle drawings, and enhanced with Crayola fabric markers

8 flowers.  Centers of each flower are from my line of stencils - Stencil Girl Products

The birds re-do.  I found some more yellow fabric and stamped it with a hand-made vine and leaf stamp, to create a 'batik' like fabric.
It's coming together!

8 pieces of red measuring tape

Hoffman Fabrics make some of my most favorite batiks, including one with shells on it.  8 shells.  Looking a tad bit boring, and needed some spicing up.  I used the Crayola Fabric Markers to draw ocean waves on the background.

I cut out some letters to spell out an 8 letter word "Beach Day"

Almost done!  Added 8 polka dot fabrics, 8 peace signs, 8 bunting flags, and 8 'D@8' logo rectangles, also Spoonflower fabric

Here it is with the '8' on it.  The number may need some tweaking.

Both quilts together - one more to go - the '@' that goes in-between these two pieces!  Onward we go!
