The Home Front

My newest stencil has been released with Stencil Girl Products! Click on link here to visit their site.  My most favorite motif that I use in my work is a 'House.'  I created this stencil, with doors, windows, buttons, snaps, safety pins, washers - everything  that I use frequently in my work!
This is the entire stencil with lime green acrylic paint on Hoffman hand dyed fabric

Just for fun, I used the entire stencil on 6 different colors of fabric, pressed and Mistyfused!

Then I cut 6 house designs out of wool blended felt,  I Mistyfused Hoffman Batik fabrics onto the felt.  This will be a 2-sided book that can stand up on it's own.

Let the fun begin, since I had scads of pieces to choose from!

A candy store of stencil designs!  Thinking about the possibilities!

Fun, fun, fun.  I love houses!

Hand embroidered, machine quilted, and sewn together

The other side!  I'll be teaching a class at the International Quilt Festival in Houston this fall, about making Funky Folding Houses, and my stenciled fabrics will be on hand to use!  Here is the link again, just in case you can't wait to own this stencil, that can be used for a plethora of fun art projects!
