My mom moved to an assisted living club recently. Most of the residents have a seasonal wreath on their door for cheerfulness and identification. I decided that she needed something a little different, so I made her this whimsical house quilt for her door.
In the midst of a long hallway with rows of cream colored doors, she will find her way to her wonderful apartment! I love you, Mom!
It's adorable, and so very special. ;-)ReplyDelete
That is wonderful. You can find her, too! I used to get so lost in my MIL's assisted living place.ReplyDelete
It's great. I bet your mum is delighted with it.ReplyDelete
I adore this cute house quilt! That was a fabulous idea for your Mom's door. I read your blog regularly and I don't always comment but I want you to know that I love all your creations. Everything you do is colorful and joyful--my two favorite things!ReplyDelete
My Mom is in a nursing home with Alzheimer's. Just outside her door is an area for an ATC-sized picture. Your post has got me thinking about all the possibilities. Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful idea.Just perfect.ReplyDelete
It's adorable! I'm going to steal this idea for my folks' door in their retirement home. They will love it, especially if I do several for the different seasons. Thank you, Jamie!ReplyDelete
That is a beautiful gift to give your mum, Jamie- I'm sure it will lift her spirits and fill her heart with warmth every time she sees it :-))ReplyDelete
